IGY Opens New Reception Amenities in Simpson Bay Marina
As many visitors know, St. Maarten is one of the most important yachting clubs of the Caribbean. Epicenter of the industry is the natural Simpson Bay Lagoon, home to many marinas, rigging, provision and other nautical companies. Its yachting success is furthered by the liveliness of the Simpson Bay Area where many yachties and crews do their share of dining and partying, often simply by mooring their dinghy at known sailor venues like Toppers or the St. Maarten Yacht Club. It is not for nothing St. Maarten was selected as home base for three seasons of Below Deck, the series portraying the interesting life on mega yachts.
Simpson Bay based IGY Marinas has now added a whole new series of amenities for visiting superyachts, catamarans and other sailing boats. A new welcoming reception center adds a fitness center, a rooftop bar, a meeting and instruction room and lounge terrace. Clearly, these come with amazing vistas of the surrounding lagoon and the business on the water of this yachting mecca.
