ABCNEWS: MAN WHO SURVIVED ON SEA FOR WEEKS ON KETCHUP SPEAKS OUT

Elvis Francoise, a 47 year old Dominican man, was repairing his boat in a port of St Maarten when all of a sudden the weather changed and he drifted afloat. A total of 24 days passed by before he was found by Colombian Navy. Elvis has been surviving on only Heinz Ketchup, spices, Maggi cubes, seaweed and sea water. Heinz heard about the story of Elvis and tried to reach out. At first Heinz could not find the man, so they came up with #FindtheKetchupBoatGuy. And eventually with success. Heinz will now provide Elvis of a new boat including navigation
Francoise’s house was burnt down one year ago, he says. He lost everything so he decided to search for something new. That is why he came to St Maarten island. But, after his journey at sea he returned to the Dominican Republic and stays in what is left of his house for the time being. Heinz is looking for the best way possible to help Francois.
