Caribbean Island Hopping With RTL4

Prepare the popcorn! Largest (European) Dutch television channel RTL4 is doing a special television series on St. Maarten and its surrounding islands Saba, St. Barths and St. Eustatius/Statia! See below the trailer of the series airing as of March 1st for four weeks in a row. After that, the Videoland channel will repeat the travel program throughout the year.

“Sky High” centers around the travel adventures of Dutch television celebrity Suus de Brock of “Show News”, “Golden Formula” and “Ranking the Supercars” fame. On her northeastern Caribbean island hopping voyages, the diva visited amongst others Bourdain highlighted Ital Shack,  famed beach club Buccaneers and brand new underwater sculpture park UnderSXM with Aquamania. De Brock also took on thrilling ziplining adventures with Rainforest Adventures and enjoyed a horseback riding experience at Seaside Nature Park. She highlights her amazing VIP travel experience at Morgan Resort St. Maarten while clearly happy with the personal touch provided by the services of H&L Car rental. De Brock also highlighted the totally renewed St. Maarten airport, center stage to all the island hopping opportunities of the northeastern Caribbean.

“Sky High”, but Caribbean Close-Ups

This brand-new travel series promises a unique mix of luxury experiences, cultural discoveries, and thrilling outdoor activities. Every episode is filled with must-see events for travelers, from showing exclusive tastings at  top Sint Maarten / Saint Martin restaurants and hidden gems beloved by locals, private yacht trips in the blue waters of St. Barths to exploring the unexplored rainforest trails of Saba.

Beyond the amazing sights and high-end hospitality, “Sky High” also offers a behind-the-scenes look at the people and traditions that make each island special. Suus de Brock meets with local artisans, historians, and business owners, shining a light on the vibrant culture and stories of the northeastern Caribbean.

Though the program is in the Dutch language, in time all De Brocks travel tips will be available with subtitles. But the amazing (at times literally) “Sky High” visuals of the St. Maarten / St. Martin hills, of planes landing at Maho Beach and Saba’s Mount Scenery will guide you to a perfect warm weather vacation already!
