FAXINFO: RACE/SWIMMING: BACK TO THE 3RD EDITION OF THE SXM SWIMRUN 2023
ST MAARTEN RUNNING AND SWIMMING RACE
On the 30th of April, the third edition of the SXM Swimrun took place and 29 duo’s took part in it. Every duo did twelve kilometers of running and two kilometers of swimming. The event was organized by the association Tous à l’Ô represented by Boris Villemin.
The route started at Galisbay at 6 in the morning, and directed the participants towards Friar’s Bay where the first swimming stage was. From Friar’s Bay they swam all the way to Happy Bay. From there, the participants had to run to Anse Marcel via Grand Case. The finish line was located at Coco Beach in Orient Bay.
The race was eventually won by SBH Tri team. Participants of the team were Stéphane Lenoir and Fabien Husson. They had a finish time of 1 hour 45 minutes and 42 seconds. The duo is on a winning streak now, because they had also won the competition on St. Barths previous weekend.
