Flights to St. Maarten from the United Kingdom
Flights from the UK to “SXM”
Many of our British fans ask if St. Maarten can be reached directly from the United Kingdom. Unfortunately this is not the case yet even though more and more people from the British isles discover our shores
But the good news as that easy alternatives are available with compact layovers.
As most British airports are very well connected to major European hubs Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Amsterdam Schiphol (ASD), a first consideration would be to cross the channel and take a direct intercontinental Air France or KLM flight from these airports to Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM).
A second option, taking slightly more time, would be to connect via major hubs of the United States. St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport has many direct flights from amongst others Miami, New York, Charlotte and Atlanta.
A third alternative would be to connect via Caribbean islands in the vicinity. Neighboring St. Kitts not just has direct flights from London as well as Manchester, it has flights as well as ferry connections to St. Maarten. St. Maarten is also directly linked to Jamaica (Norman Manley airport), Antigua and other islands in the commonwealth providing direct flights to Great Britain.
