The Flamboyant tree – National Tree of St Martin / St Maarten

The national tree of St Maarten / St Martin blossoms from June to September. Its red, yellow and orange flowers blossom signify paradise flower and is also why the tree is often called as the flame tree. The Flamboyant tree symbolizes emancipation of St Maarten / St Martin.
