Shopping in Maho
Maho, a short distance from Princess Juliana International Airport, has been called “a destination within a destination” for good reason. With shopping, dining and nightlife options, you can easily spend an entire day here.
The area has grown up around several resorts, including the all-inclusive Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino and the uber-luxurious Sonesta Ocean Point. You’ll find alluring shops with stunning jewelry, designer clothing, whimsical accessories and more.
Start the day off at Maho Beach and experience the jet blast. This is a must-do St. Maarten activity. If, by chance, you need new swimwear for the beach, head to one of the nearby shops and pick up a new one.
Maho is also a great place to shop for jewelry and other fun stuff later in the evening. Shops in the main areas of Philipsburg and Marigot usually close at 6 p.m., but Maho continues the shopping experience after that to give you the opportunity to purchase that perfect item to make your trip here memorable.
Maho Pharmacy is open daily, and, aside from medicines, it’s an excellent place to pick up St. Maarten–made products.
Wishing on a star won’t get you far, at least not far enough to fill a shopping bag with treasures to take back home. St. Maarten/St. Martin is an island of discounts, deals and memories to last a lifetime. Get out there and grab some yourself!
