SOUALIGA NEWSDAY: CALL FOR TENDER WITH SEVEN (7) REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR ST. MAARTEN AIRPORT CONCESSIONS
PRINCESS JULIANA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ST MAARTEN IMPROVEMENT PLAN
The Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) on St Maarten is undergoing a renovation of their retail area, to improve experiences for partners and business partners. To achieve this goal, a Call for Tender with Seven (7) RFPs for Airport Concessions is being instituted. The main focus of the renovation, lays upon the Retail business of the airport. A total of 34 new food- & beverage venues will be opened and a remarkable initiatives the Mega-yacht food court, which is completely focused on the cultural richness of St Maarten.
The 7 packages that are available are restaurants, fashion retail, pharmacy, supermarkets, and a mini casino bar. All involved parties are requested to participate into making Princess Juliana International Airport a Caribbean benchmark.
PJIA is currently growing rapidly. In 2022 they had a total of 1.5 million visitors. In 2025 this number is expected to grow to 1.9 million with its 42 destinations and 61 daily non-stop flights.
