Travel and Leisure: St. Maarten Ranks Amongst Top 25 Caribbean Islands

St. Maarten / St. Martin ranks amongst the top 25 best islands in the Caribbean region. That was concluded by Travel and Leisure in their 2025 World’s Best Awards contest on best islands in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas.
The Travel and Leisure ranking is measured in islands, meaning binational St. Maarten / St. Martin count as one. The Caribbean has 7000 islands, of which a 100 are inhabited, so St. Maarten / St. Martin is elated to be part of the top 25 !
Research amongst St. Maarten tourism professionals and frequent visitors showed that its five most attractive factors that make people come back to this island year after year are its key strengths of its unique binational and multicultural composition, its status as culinary capital of the Caribbean, offer of excursions and  island hopping options and its great hospitality.
Earlier, Travel and Leisure ranked St. Maarten as one of the Top Micro countries to visit and extensively featured in a 2023 edition of Travel & Leisure magazine. The island also made it to the Travel and Leisure regional top 25 rankings in 2023.
