How to get to Sapphire Beach Resort

 

How to get to Sapphire Beach Resort from the direction of Oyster Bay, Philipsburg, the AC Wathey Cruise Terminal, Simpson Bay and Maho

 

When coming from Oyster Bay, follow the Oyster Pond road to Philipsburg starting in the corner of the bay for fifteen minutes until you arrive at the Freedom Fighter monument rotunda. Turn right towards Pondfill Road along Philipsburg and the Great Salt Pond.

 

From Philipsburg, continue this road through the traffic lights and turn left at the first roundabout towards the hills. Turn right at the roundabout on the hill with the sea and later the Harold Jack viewpoint on your left hand side.

 

At the Kruythoff roundabout downhill, turn left and follow welfare road for 10 minutes until you reach the airport traffic circle marked with pelicans. Turn left, pass Princess Juliana International Airport and continue until you reach the Maho Beach roundabout. Turn right and keep following the road along the sea for 10 minutes through Maho village, along Sonesta Maho and the St Maarten golf course. Sapphire is one of the first resorts on your left hand side after the golf course.

How to get to Sapphire Beach Resort from the direction of Orient Bay, Grand Case, Grand Case Airport and Marigot

 

Coming from Orient Bay, leave the gates to your right and pass the roundabout at Hope Estate straight, along Grand Case L’Esperance Airport. Follow the main road along Grand Case, La Savane and Rambaud until you reach an emancipation statue rotary right before Marigot. Turn right and follow the road along Galisbay Beach and the Marigot waterfront. Keep driving along the seaside, cross the bridge over the Simpson Bay Lagoon and into the Lowlands until you reach the border and Cupecoy after ten minutes. Cross the border into Cupecoy and continue with the sea on your right hand side. Sapphire is one of the last resorts on your right hand side before you reach the golf course.

Sapphire has ample parking space in front of its resort and in its garage. 

 

 

Buses to Sapphire Beach Resort

 

Cupecoy is on the end of the Philipsburg to Cupecoy bus line. Please share with the bus driver that you need to get to the Sapphire Beach Resort in Cupecoy, as it might stop in Maho if no passengers show interest in continuing past the Golf Course into Cupecoy. Please see bus tariffs in advance.
